Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate - Data Engineering Specialist to join our Abu Dhabi-based Graduate Program. You will work across digital support for MEP engineering, data management and analytics, leveraging Python, C#, BIM tools and Power BI to deliver data-driven insights throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop automation tools, build data models and dashboards, and contribute to innovative digital engineering standards within the Building

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Data Science / Data Analytics / Computer Science / Software Engineering / Building Services / MEP Engineering.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and C#, with data manipulation and automation experience.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI and data visualization tools.
• Experience with BIM and engineering platforms such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, IES VE, EnergyPlus, Grasshopper, Rhino and Dynamo would be advantageous.
• Experience developing automation tools using Python, Dynamo, Grasshopper, VBA, APIs or similar environments.
• Understanding BIM data structures and interoperability between engineering software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with MEP engineers to integrate digital and data-driven workflows.
• Develop digital solutions supporting mechanical, electrical and public health activities.
• Analyse datasets from BIM models, calculations, simulations and building performance analyses.
• Develop tools and workflows to improve design efficiency, consistency and quality.
• Create reports, dashboards and visualisations to communicate performance and insights.
• Maintain engineering databases, templates and digital resources.
