We at GEMS International School, Al Khail are looking for a Grade 1 Teacher to start from January 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures individual strengths and learning styles.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including EAL, gifted, and students requiring additional support.
  • Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assess, record, and communicate student progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and personalised support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB‑aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through co‑curricular activities, events, and community initiatives.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to support student growth and wellbeing.
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection to continuously enhance teaching practice.
  • Uphold the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.
