Job summary

The Grade 1 Teacher plays a vital role in shaping the academic foundation, confidence, and personal development of young learners. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive Grade 1 lessons aligned with school curriculum standards
• Develop creative teaching strategies that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and student participation
• Create inclusive classroom experiences that support different learning styles and student needs
• Differentiate instruction to meet the developmental needs of elementary learners
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success
• Maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture focused on wellbeing and global citizenship
• Monitor academic progress through assessments, observations, and regular feedback
• Collaborate with teaching teams to improve curriculum delivery and learning outcomes
• Participate in parent‑teacher meetings and maintain effective communication with families
• Engage in continuous reflection and professional development to maintain teaching excellence

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor of Education in Elementary or Primary Education or equivalent
• Recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or teaching license
• Proven experience teaching elementary students, preferably within an American or IB curriculum school
• Strong understanding of inquiry‑based learning and child‑centered teaching approaches
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to create supportive and motivating learning environments
