Job description

Description

The successful applicant will be required to:

• Provides emergency medical services to patients, through current best-evidence based standards, using best judgment at all times, and in accordance with the medical centre’s Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations under the supervision of the Specialist Emergency Physician
• Participates equitably in the duty roster on a shift basis.
• Demonstrates commitment to continuing medical education.
• Participates in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the emergency service and the hospital.
• Fulfill professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of emergency medicine.
• Carries out other assigned duties within the appropriate scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of the position.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Education - basic medical degree recognised by Dubai Healthcare City
• Three (3) years of practical experience after obtaining a basic medical degree or its equivalent.

OTHER

• Certification/completion of a recognised higher professional education programme in Emergency Medicine would be an advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience in a western hospital setting is preferred.
• Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of Emergency Medicine.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Fluency in Arabic will be an added advantage
