Tandem Interim seeks an engineer to add governed AI features to an internal client-relationship platform, including AI-assisted summaries and next-best-action drafts, all grounded in approved data and human-reviewed before sending.

The role emphasizes compliance in a regulated business environment, with RAG-based retrieval, versioning, audit logging, and robust testing on private infrastructure, and support for Arabic-language generation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production software engineering (Python and/or TypeScript).
• 18+ months building AI/LLM features used by real users.
• Hands-on experience building RAG systems with citations.
• Experience with authentication, access control, logging, and human approval workflows for sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Implement RAG-based retrieval with source citations and freshness flags.
• Develop AI-generated summaries and draft communications with human review.
• Ensure versioning, audit logging, and regression testing processes.
• Support Arabic-language generation and translation features.
• Deploy AI features on private/self-hosted infrastructure.
