Job summary

Alert International is seeking a seasoned Risk & Position Strategy Specialist based in Dubai for the MENA and APAC regions. You will monitor EEX/SGX exposures, translate physical risk into hedge requests, and support cross-time-zone risk management with regional traders and leadership.

You will coordinate with Risk Management, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure controls and timely hedging decisions, while maintaining confidentiality of positions and market data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years in commodity trading, derivatives, risk management or related.
• Practical familiarity with EEX/SGX; dairy or food ingredient exposure preferred.
• Advanced Excel required, Power BI or ETRM/CTRM systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional position visibility for MENA/APAC during Dubai/Singapore hours.
• Translate physical trading risk into hedging requirements and path to execution.
• Monitor EEX/SGX exposures, manage hedges, and support risk governance.
• Coordinate documentation and approvals with leadership and risk teams.
• Support trade execution, confirmations, allocations, and post-trade activities within limits.
• Maintain regional position views, reporting, and reconciliations with Finance.
