Job summary

Now Health International seeks a Lead Actuary to oversee the global actuarial function across Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and ROW. You will drive actuarial strategy, pricing, reserving and governance while partnering with underwriting, finance and strategy teams to deliver value.

The role demands strong leadership, deep actuarial knowledge, and the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Associate membership in a recognized actuarial association.
• Extensive experience in actuarial and underwriting roles with group/corporate leadership and multi geography exposure.
• Deep knowledge of insurance products, financial modeling, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain actuarial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions and business units in a complex structure.
• Strategic mindset with ability to contribute to overall group strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cohesive actuarial strategy that aligns with group goals.
• Establish and enforce actuarial governance standards to ensure consistency across units.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks, ensuring proactive adjustments to the actuarial approach.
• Collaborate with business units to assess the financial impact of new products and initiatives at the group level.
• Lead the pricing strategy for insurance products, considering market conditions, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with finance, underwriting, claims and corporate strategy to integrate actuarial insights into broader decision-making.
• Collaborate with data science and technology teams to leverage advanced analytics and technology solutions for enhanced actuarial capabilities.
• Build and lead a high-performing actuarial team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive reinsurance strategy aligned with risk management and financial objectives.
• Conduct regular assessments of the reinsurance landscape, identifying opportunities to optimize coverage and improve risk-adjusted returns.
• Lead the negotiation of reinsurance treaties, ensuring terms align with risk appetite and financial goals.
• Monitor and manage existing reinsurance contracts, assessing effectiveness and recommending adjustments.
• Oversee development and maintenance of financial models related to reinsurance, including pricing, reserving, and capital models.
• Conduct rigorous financial analysis to assess impact of reinsurance on financial position, capital requirements, and risk profile.
