Job summary

NOOR ALTAWASEL GLASS & ALUMINUM INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE is seeking a Glass Technician to join our Dubai team. You will measure, cut, install, replace, and repair glass products, including doors, windows, mirrors, partitions, and shopfronts.

Reading drawings and installation instructions is essential for proper alignment and safety. Install and adjust aluminum frames, apply sealants, and work with varied glass types.

Qualifications

• Experience as Glass Technician or Glazier.
• Knowledge of glass installation and glazing materials.
• Ability to read measurements and basic technical drawings.
• Skilled with hand and power tools.
• Able to safely handle various glass types and sizes.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, install, replace, and repair glass products.
• Install glass doors, windows, mirrors, partitions, and shopfronts.
• Read and understand drawings and installation instructions.
• Install and adjust aluminum frames, channels, fittings, hinges, handles, and accessories.
• Apply silicone and glazing compounds correctly.
• Remove damaged glass and prepare areas for replacement.
• Inspect work for alignment, fitting, finishing, and safety.
• Use tools and equipment safely on site.
• Report damaged materials or safety hazards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other workers on site.
• Keep tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow health and safety procedures and PPE.

Job description

• Measure, cut, install, replace, and repair glass products.
• Install glass doors, windows, mirrors, partitions, shower enclosures, shopfronts, and other glazing systems.
• Read and understand drawings, measurements, and installation instructions.
• Install and adjust aluminum frames, channels, fittings, hinges, handles, and other accessories.
• Apply silicone, sealants, adhesives, and glazing compounds correctly.
• Remove damaged or broken glass safely and prepare areas for replacement.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper alignment, fitting, finishing, and safety.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, suction lifters, and other glass installation equipment safely.
• Identify and report damaged materials, installation problems, or safety hazards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other workers on site.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties related to glass installation and maintenance as assigned.

Skills

• Previous experience as a Glass Technician, Glazier, or in a similar position.
