Job summary

Emirates Float Glass LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an Operator Technician for Float Bath Lehr and Solar Cool coating operations. You will monitor process parameters, perform adjustments, report deviations, and support maintenance activities.

The role requires an Engineering Diploma or college-level qualification and at least 2 years in a process industry, preferably glass manufacturing. English communication and teamwork skills are essential, with ability to work in shift environments.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma / College Level qualification in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a process industry, preferably glass manufacturing.
• Good understanding of industrial/process operations and equipment.
• Strong English communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit for plant/shop-floor and shift work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular field and visual inspections and complete required operational check sheets.
• Monitor and maintain process parameters for Tin Bath Lehr and Solar Cool coating operations.
• Perform required operational adjustments as instructed by the responsible Engineer Supervisor.
• Immediately report any process deviations, equipment abnormalities, or safety concerns.
• Perform specialized operational activities related to Tin Bath Lehr and Solar Cool systems.
• Manually measure Annealing Lehr temperatures and verify online indicators.
• Monitor glass surface quality and support preventive and corrective actions to minimize defects.
• Record operating and measured parameters for analysis and process improvement.
• Maintain stocks of consumables, spare parts and PPE; prepare tools and support maintenance activities.
