Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates is seeking an Analyst - General Accounts Consolidation to support General Ledger activities, monthly accruals, SAP accounting period management, financial reconciliations and consolidation reporting across Finance and Investment departments.

The role focuses on ensuring timely financial information, aiding statutory reporting, audits and Group financial assurance, while coordinating with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or a Commercial discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Auditing.
• Oil and Gas industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and monthly close.
• Experience preparing accruals and journal entries.
• Practical knowledge of sub-ledger to General Ledger reconciliation.
• Experience using SAP for financial reporting and accounting period activities.
• Familiarity with consolidated financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to prepare trial balances, commitments and contingencies schedules.
• Understanding of intercompany cost allocations, billing and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly accrual process by following up with relevant directorates and collecting required accrual information.
• Review reported accrual amounts for completeness, consistency and reasonableness before further processing.
• Prepare accrual upload sheets in the required financial system format for submission to the Financial System team.
• Compile monthly accrual reports and submit them for review and approval.
• Coordinate with the Financial System department on the opening and closing of monthly accounting periods in SAP.
• Ensure accounting period activities are completed according to established financial reporting timelines.
• Liaise with Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Payroll and other finance departments to obtain required General Ledger information.
