Job summary

The Boring Company is seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to support tunnel and shaft construction projects in Dubai. You will prepare geotechnical reports, design temporary supports, and perform settlement and impact analyses for subsurface structures.

You will also plan investigations and provide field recommendations to optimize construction means and methods. Preferred qualifications include an MS in Geotechnical/Structural Engineering and a Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
At least 5 years of tunnel inspection experience.
MS in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering preferred.
Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

Create geotechnical data reports, interpretation reports, and design reports for tunnel and shaft construction.
Create temporary support of excavation designs reports and drawings.
Produce tunnel lining design documentation including lateral earth pressure calculations.
Perform ground settlement and construction impact analysis of subsurface structures and utilities.
Create and oversee the implementation of settlement monitoring plans.
Plan and execute geotechnical investigations.
Assist in the collection and review of as-built drawings and existing geotechnical data for subsurface due diligence.
Provide geotechnical recommendations for construction means and methods.
Perform construction period observation and inspection.
Support brick operations with geotechnical recommendations and testing oversight.
