Job summary

Combuzz HR Solutions in Dubai seeks an experienced Generator Field Service Engineer to support inspection, maintenance, and overhaul of large turbo-generators (200 MW+). The role involves hands-on assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting at power plants.

You will coordinate outages, read mechanical drawings, verify clearances, and work with air-, hydrogen-, and water-cooled systems. Travel internationally is required, and a mechanical engineering degree is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of hands-on field experience with large turbo-generators (200 MW+).
• Experience with generator assembly/disassembly, rotor handling, inspections, and overhauls.
• Experience with air-, hydrogen-, or water-cooled generator systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and verify critical clearances.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on power plant sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform generator assembly, disassembly, overhauls, and inspections.
• Handle rotor removal, installation, lifting, and alignment.
• Inspect rotors, stators, bearings, seals, coolers, and related components.
• Measure air gaps, bearing clearances, shaft alignment, and other dimensions.
• Work with air-cooled, hydrogen-cooled, and water-cooled generator systems.
• Identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Support outages, rehabilitation, and troubleshooting projects.
• Follow OEM procedures and site safety standards.
