Job summary

Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel, part of Avani Hotels and Resorts, seeks a skilled General Technician to safeguard and optimize facility operations in Dubai. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure smooth and safe running of all equipment.

Additionally, you will diagnose faults, perform timely repairs, document work, and liaise with other departments to uphold safety and quality standards for guest comfort and operational

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, drawings, and analytical skills to identify root causes efficiently
• Execute repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritizing urgent issues while maintaining organized documentation
• Inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they scale, demonstrating proactive problem solving
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledge
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used, time spent, and issues resolved
• Adapt to new technologies and equipment innovations, continuously expanding your technical skill set
• Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues about project status, challenges, and solutions
