Job summary

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi seeks a Specialist Physician to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care within the Division and to supervise junior medical staff.

Under the guidance of the Consultant Physician, you will participate in ward rounds, ensure adequate coverage, contribute to performance management, teaching, and multi-disciplinary collaboration while aligning with hospital policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 Special Certificate: required post board certification.
• Tier 2: residency or 2 years clinical experience post qualification in internationally accredited institute.
• Tier 3: 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute.

Responsibilities

• Managerial administration and adherence to hospital policies.
• Supports performance management, peer review, and productivity/utilization reviews.
• Assists Consultant staff to ensure adequate medical coverage and participates in divisional meetings.
• Under supervision diagnoses and treats patients per established standards of practice.
• Leads ward rounds, documents clinical information, and coordinates with other services.

Education

Tier 1 Special Certificate

Tier 2 Residency / 2 years clinical experience

Tier 3 3 years clinical experience as Specialist
