Job summary

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi is seeking a compassionate General Practitioner to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care across a broad range of medical conditions. The GP will assess, diagnose, and manage patients while coordinating with specialists when required.

The role requires MBBS or equivalent, internship completion, valid DOH license/eligibility, and a minimum of three years post‑internship experience, preferably in a hospital or primary care setting.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited internship program.
• Valid DOH License/Eligibility as a General Practitioner.
• Minimum 3 years of post-internship clinical experience, preferably within a hospital or primary care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions per evidence-based guidelines.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and monitoring progress.
• Provide preventive healthcare, health education, and lifestyle counseling to patients and families.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostics.
• Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care when advanced evaluation or treatment is required.
• Maintain accurate medical records within the hospital’s EMR system.
