Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a senior leader to oversee the technical function for Interior Design and Finishes across multiple projects in Dubai. You will drive design development from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with client vision and brand standards.

Responsibilities include managing ID drawings, specifications, and material compliance, while leading value engineering to optimize cost, and coordinating with consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in construction or interior design projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations (DM, DEWA, Civil defense).
• Experience with high-rise towers, large-scale developments, and full project lifecycles.

• Ensure all ID drawings, specifications, and materials comply with Employer’s Requirements, brand standards, and overall project objectives
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs while maintaining design quality and intent
• Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of design and execution
• Manage and secure approvals from authorities including DM, DEWA, and Civil defense, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Review and approve mock-ups, material submissions, and finishing samples to maintain consistent quality across projects
• Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex design and construction challenges
• Monitor all ID and finishes works to ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and company procedures
• Guide project teams on best practices in high-end finishes, detailing, and execution methodologies
• Support commercial teams with cost inputs, material selections, and alternative design solutions
• Ensure completion of all technical documentation, certifications, warranties, and project close-out deliverables
• Lead, mentor, and develop technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and design excellence
• Capture and implement lessons learned across projects to improve processes and performance
• Conduct regular reviews of project teams to monitor progress, performance, and compliance

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture
• 20+ years of experience in the construction industry, with strong exposure to Interior Design (ID) and high-end finishes
• Minimum 7+ years in a senior leadership role managing technical teams
• Proven experience in high-rise towers, large-scale developments, residential villas, and full project lifecycle delivery
• Strong expertise in ID coordination, fit-out execution, materials selection, and finishing techniques
• Thorough knowledge of UAE regulations including Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, and Civil defense requirements
• Demonstrated experience in managing consultants, leading design development, and obtaining authority approvals
• Strong commercial awareness with hands-on experience in value engineering across structure, façade, finishes, MEP, specialized systems, and fit-out works
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities
• Ability to balance design intent with cost efficiency, quality standards, and project timelines
