Job Description
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our regional logistics operations across the region. This senior leadership role is ideal for a dynamic logistics professional with deep expertise in supply chain management, operational excellence, and market expansion. The General Manager will oversee strategic planning, financial growth, and operational performance to drive sustainable success and regional competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall strategy, operations, and profit growth for logistics activities across UAE / KSA ;
- Develop and execute a 3–5 year regional logistics strategy, covering market entry, network optimization, and new business lines (e-commerce logistics, cold chain, cross-border solutions);
- Oversee warehousing, transportation, customs clearance, and last-mile operations to achieve cost efficiency and service excellence;
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regional trade, customs, and labour regulations.
- Lead negotiations with key accounts and expand the regional customer base;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention;
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships and revenue growth across multiple logistics verticals.
- Manage full P&L responsibility for the region, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth;
- Implement lean management practices to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency;
- Establish and monitor key business metrics to track regional performance and ROI.
- Build and develop a high performing, culturally aligned team;
- Mentor and grow local leadership talent to ensure long‑term organizational capability;
- Foster collaboration, engagement, and a sense of belonging across cross-border teams.
- Ensure compliance with customs, trade, and transport regulations;
- Develop and maintain contingency plans for potential risks such as geopolitical shifts and supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred);
- 10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, including 5+ years in regional or senior leadership roles; working directly with big international companies ( DHL, FedX, UPS, MAERSK etc.)
- Proven expertise in building and scaling logistics networks (warehousing, fleet, distribution);
- Strong understanding of Middle Eastern market dynamics and customs procedures;
- Hands‑on experience with TMS/WMS systems and logistics analytics tools;
- Skilled in leading multicultural teams across diverse markets;
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make decisions in complex, regulated environments;
- Fluent in English and Chinese; Arabic proficiency would be a strong advantage.
