A General Accountant will fully support the Accounts function within the Finance department through the development and processing of accurate reports and account management.


What will I be doing

As a General Accountant, you will support the Accounts function within the Finance department by developing and processing accurate reports and managing accounts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of all departmental processes related to various accounts
  • Meeting all payment deadlines
  • Supporting the management of account inquiries and disputes
  • Balancing accounts daily, weekly, and monthly
  • Supporting the development of the Finance team and other roles interacting with financial processes to foster a multi-skilled team
  • Building accurate financial reports and clearly identifying discrepancies
  • Acting in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations and following proper procedures when required
  • Executing tasks and requests as instructed by the Finance Manager

It would be advantageous to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous accounts experience, preferably within a hotel environment
  • Relevant degree in Accounting or a related business discipline from an academic institution
