Job summary

MX Consultancy FZE is seeking a detail-driven General Accountant to own the full accounting cycle in a multi-entity environment in the UAE. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, IFRS compliance, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a professional accounting qualification and has at least 3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in aviation or multinational settings.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Prior experience in aviation industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department including AP/AR, payroll, GL and financial reporting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closings in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Prepare, record, analyze and report financial data with accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Assist in internal and external audits and participate in projects as needed.
• Engage with stakeholders to address financial accounting matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.

We are looking for a detail-driven General Accountant to take ownership of the full accounting cycle. If you enjoy hands-on accounting in a multi-entity international environment, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting. Handle general accounting tasks, including preparing and reconciling financial statements and Tax declarations.
• Closing Activities: Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, record, analyze, and report financial data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounting records.
• Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate records and verify transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
• Support Audits: Assist in internal and external audits and contribute to various projects as needed.
• Stakeholder Communication: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to address all financial accounting-related matters.
• Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
