Job summary

Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is seeking a Gameplay Programmer Intern to join our programming team on a mobile project for 6 months. You will contribute to the game development process and learn within a dynamic, collaborative team.

You will support simple and complex gameplay systems, implement functions per plan, and communicate progress to peers. A Bachelor's degree and Abu Dhabi residency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of C# or C programming language.
• Hands-on experience with Unity3D engine.
• Understanding of mathematics, physics and gameplay mechanics.
• Passion for creating well-structured, flexible code.
• Fluent in English with good communication skills.
• Passion for games and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support teams in developing gameplay systems.
• Complete gameplay functions as planned and scheduled.
• Inform management when tasks fall behind and propose solutions.
• Communicate progress to peers, customers and leads.
• Fix defects found by QC or customers promptly.

The Gameplay Programmer Intern will contribute and learn programming tasks within the game development process within a dynamic professional collaborative and creative team.

What youll do:

• Support teams in developing simple and complex gameplay systems.
• Complete your gameplay functions based on the plan requirements and schedule approved by management.
• Capable of informing management when tasks are falling behind schedule and proposing solutions.
• Communicate the progress of your work to your peers customers and leads.
• Correct defects discovered by QC or your customers in a timely fashion.

Qualifications :

• Knowledgeof C#or C programminglanguage
• Hands-on experience with Unity3D engine
• Haveagoodunderstandingofmathematicsphysicsand gameplaymechanics
• Passion for creating well-structured flexible code
• Should be fluent in English and have good communication skills to interact with various teams.
• A passion for creating or playing games and being a team player.

Other requirements:

• A Bachelors degree preferably in technology or similar
• Located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
