Job summary

The Citco Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to oversee and prepare financial reports and NAV for client funds. You will perform cash and capital reconciliations and ensure compliance with client agreements.

You will liaise with banks, custodians, and auditors, support onboarding of new clients, and help continuously improve product quality and service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting, finance, economics or professional designation.
• Experience with hedge/mutual funds or investment companies.
• Understanding of investment strategies and financial products including derivatives.
• Supervisory/management experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and NAV to meet client deadlines.
• Execute financial control elements covering assets, liabilities, income, expenses and equity.
• Complete cash portfolio and capital reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review capital calls and distributions on underlying fund holdings.
• Monitor compliance with client service agreements.
• Maintain contact with client operations, banks, custodians, brokers.
• Collaborate with team to improve product quality and consistency.
• Assist onboarding new clients and new launches.
• Train and support team members.
• Act as a client contact point and resolve queries or escalate.
• Participate in year-end audit process and provide information to auditors.
• Liaise with internal/external parties; assist ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• Oversee and prepare financial reports and profit allocation statements including net asset value to meet client deadlines.
• Execute the financial control elements covering assets liabilities income and expenses and equity.
• Independently complete cash portfolio and capital reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Review and process notices received for capital calls and distributions on underlying portfolio Fund holdings
• Monitor compliance with various client service agreements.
• Maintain contact with client operations staff Banks Custodians and Brokers.
• Work with all team members to improve product quality and consistency.
• Assist with new client on boarding and new launches to ensure successful completion
• Train and support team members in their development.
• Operate as a contact point for clients; being able to respond to and resolve queries or elevate where necessary.
• Participate in the fiscal year end audit process and provide information to auditors as required.
• Liaise with various internal /external parties
• Assist with ad hoc projects

Qualifications

About You:

• University degree in accounting finance economics or professional accounting designation (CFA CGA CMA CA CPA)
• An accounting / finance background with relevant experience.
• Experience with hedge / mutual funds or investment companies
• Understanding of investment strategies and financial products (including derivatives)
• Some successful supervisory / management experience would be an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a challenging professional and fast paced work environment.
