Job summary

The Citco Group Limited in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to lead a team of fund accountants and deliver accurate monthly reporting for a large, complex client. You will supervise staff, coach the team, and collaborate with Client Integration and onshore/offshore operations to ensure exceptional client delivery.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a professional designation (CGA/CMA/CA/CPA/CFA).
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly hedge funds or investment companies.
• Extensive supervisory and managerial experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook; strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with Fund of Fund structures, exposure to private equity and hedge fund investments.
• Strong understanding of the transaction and investment cycle of private equity funds.

• Drive process improvements to NAV production and reporting quality.
• Conduct performance management discussions and monthly client reporting.

• Act as client liaison for monthly reporting enquiries.

• Participate in strategic departmental and corporate initiatives.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Working within a new office environment, you will help to execute a robust training program for new staff.
• Work closely with the Client Integration team and operations teams in the onboarding of a large, complex strategic client.
• Work directly with key functional teams, located both onshore and offshore, to ensure optimal client delivery.
• Manage a team of fund accountants by providing ongoing training and support to ensure team/individual goals and objectives are met.
• Provide on‑going coaching and feedback to the team.
• Ensure employees are engaged, motivated and developed to maintain high quality work that proactively exceeds client expectations.
• Through excellent problem‑solving skills, continually seek to improve the quality and productivity of internal processes and controls.
• Participate in performance management conversations.
• Prepare a monthly reporting package for your clients.
• Review monthly financial statements and reconciliation packages prepared by the staff.
• Act as a liaison with the client on matters relating to the preparation of the monthly reporting package.
• Apply strong business knowledge and technical expertise to develop and recommend solutions to complex problems.
• Review daily and monthly operational/control reporting.
• Assist with ad hoc projects.
• Prepare responses to the client on any number of requested issues or queries.
• Review administrative and accounting procedures and recommend solutions to work toward a more efficient NAV production process.
• Participate in strategic departmental and corporate initiatives.

About You

• University degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a professional accounting designation (CGA, CMA, CA, CPA, CFA).
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with hedge funds and/or investment companies.
• Extensive supervisory and managerial experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Outlook; demonstrated financial reporting, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work in a challenging, professional and deadline‑driven environment.

• Strong understanding of the transaction and investment cycle of private equity funds.
