  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain detailed baseline programmes and schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Develop WBS, activity sequencing, logic, durations, resources, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, QS, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress against baselines and identify delays and risks.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and S-curves.

CIVIL PLANNING ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced *Civil Planning Engineer* with 3–5 years of experience in construction and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling project activities to ensure timely completion in accordance with approved programmes, project specifications, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • * Prepare and maintain detailed *baseline programmes, project schedules, and work programmes* using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • * Develop project *WBS, activity sequencing, logic, durations, resources, and milestones*.
  • * Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and subcontractors to collect progress information.
  • * Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline programme and identify delays, critical activities, and potential risks.
  • * Prepare *weekly and monthly progress reports*, including planned vs. actual progress and S-curves.
  • * Update project schedules based on actual site progress and prepare recovery programmes where required.
  • * Track critical path activities and advise the project team on measures required to maintain project completion dates.
  • * Prepare *look-ahead programmes* for 2-week, 3-week, and monthly periods.
  • * Coordinate with site teams to ensure planned activities, manpower, equipment, and materials are aligned with project requirements.
  • * Monitor subcontractor programmes and progress and ensure compliance with the approved master programme.
  • * Assist in preparation of *delay analysis, extension-of-time (EOT) submissions, and time-impact analysis* where required.
  • * Maintain records of project progress, delays, variations, approvals, RFIs, material deliveries, and other schedule-related events.
  • * Prepare progress presentations and reports for management and consultant/client meetings.
  • * Identify potential schedule risks and recommend appropriate mitigation and recovery measures.
  • * Coordinate with the commercial and contracts teams regarding programme impacts arising from variations, delays, and changes.
  • * Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with project contractual requirements and company procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • * Bachelor's Degree in *Civil Engineering* or equivalent.
  • * *3–5 years of relevant experience* in civil construction, infrastructure, roads, buildings, or related projects.
  • * Strong knowledge of *Primavera P6* and MS Project.
  • * Good understanding of construction methodologies and project scheduling techniques.
  • * Knowledge of baseline programmes, progress monitoring, critical path, resource loading, and S-curves.
  • * Ability to prepare and analyze *weekly/monthly progress reports*.
  • * Basic understanding of *EOT and delay analysis* is preferred.
  • * Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly *Excel and PowerPoint*.
  • * Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • * UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • * Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
  • * Experience with consultant/client reporting and construction project controls will be an advantage.
  • * Candidates with experience in *infrastructure, roads, earthworks, utilities, or large-scale building projects* are preferred.
