Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic math skills (addition & subtraction).
• Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate common point-of-sale systems (POS).
• Solid customer service skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as attention to detail is required.
• Must be willing to undergo background checks as per UAE law requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments from customers in cash or other payment methods, such as debit and credit cards.
• Ensure accuracy when handling cash and other payment methods.
• Check the age of customers when selling age‑restricted products.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets to customers.
• Count the contents of cash register drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct.
• Answer customer inquiries in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, returns and exchanges.
• Balance cash registers with receipts at the end of shifts or days worked.
