Job summary

Rodeo FX, a premier visual effects studio, seeks an exceptionally experienced FX artist to create complex simulations using Houdini, including Pyro, Flip, and RBD. You will collaborate with pipeline, lighting, and compositing teams to ensure optimized, stable setups and accurate estimates.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years in FX within a VFX studio, strong knowledge of USD and Solaris, and proficiency in Nuke, Arnold, and Karma. Join a team delivering high-end work for major studios.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in FX within a VFX studio.
• Mastery of Houdini (Pyro, Flip, RBD, Vellum, SOPs).
• Basic knowledge of compositing (Nuke) and rendering (Arnold and Karma).
• Knowledge of USD and Solaris.

• Produce complex simulations including smoke, fire, explosions, liquids, and destruction
• Use Houdini effectively for optimized and adaptable effects
