Job summary

Zimmermann in Dubai is seeking an FP&A Associate to provide financial support for P&L and balance sheet management for the Middle East region. You will assist with month end, budgeting, and board-ready reporting, and coordinate tax calculations and payments across geographies.

Qualifications

• Advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month end close in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support in reviewing monthly P&L and variances to budget/forecast.
• Check monthly balance sheet reconciliations and liaise with stakeholders.
• Prepare and consolidate budgets with internal teams and update trackers.
• Support year end audit and indirect tax calculations across geographies.
• Prepare monthly retail reports and KPIs for stakeholders.
• Assist supply chain and admin processes to ensure business continuity.
• Contribute to board presentations and management reporting as required.

Job description

On behalf of Zimmermann , we are hiring an FP&A Associate who will be responsible for providing financial support for the management of the P&L and Balance Sheet for the Middle East region.

Zimmermann is one of Australia's leading and most respected fashion designer brands. Zimmermann's ready-to-wear and swim and resort collections are sold through Zimmermann boutiques and high-end retailers both in Australia and internationally. We maintain stand-alone retail stores throughout Australia, Europe, UK, USA and China and a successful online business.

Your responsibilities will include the below:

Month End:

• Assist in the completion of month end close in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support in reviewing assigned monthly P&L’s providing commentary on key variances to budget / forecast.
• Check assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on key variances and forecasts.
• Liaise with and provide support to Chalhoub Group's Accountants, as required.

Budget:

• Work with internal teams to gather and consolidate budget data and supporting information.
• Compile and format financial budgets in line with internal templates and reporting requirements.
• Communicate budget updates, assumptions and timelines to internal stakeholders, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Update budget trackers (ie, marketing, travel, retail miscellaneous) and circulate to relevant stakeholders.
• Support Finance Manager and General Manager in the preparation of board meetings by updating & compiling various templates and support in preparing board presentations.

Year End Audit:

• Support Finance Manager during the year end audit process, as required.

Indirect Taxes:

• Assist with the preparation of indirect tax calculations and returns across allocated geographies, including but not limited to GST, VAT, WHT & Sales Tax
• Support the Finance Manager as required.

Admin:

• Support the finance manager in payment preparation and related checks

Retail:

• Preparation and distribution of monthly reports to key stakeholders.
• Update and maintain various retail registers and data bases for use by key internal stakeholders.
• Preparation and distribution of monthly and ad-hoc reports to key internal stakeholders as required.

Projects:

• Assist Finance Manager Senior Management team as directed

Supply Chain:

• Support Supply Chain team during leave period to enable business continuity (i.e. order entering, releasing order…)

What you’ll need to succeed

• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar commercial finance role.
• You have a solid FP&A experience, including budgeting, reporting, tax calculations, invoice booking, and payment processing.
• You have advanced knowledge of MS office, particularly in Excel.
• You preferably have experience in SAP.
• You possess a high level of enthusiasm and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• You are an effective communicator.
• You possess a hands-on proactive approach and the ability to work in a team environment.
