Job summary

Remotedxb is seeking a senior CV/AI engineer in Dubai to own the end-to-end platform for camera-based analysis, including ingestion, detection, tracking, OCR, and classification. The role focuses on improving model accuracy with real users and scaling deployment to a second industry on the same stack.

You will lead model selection, training, annotation workflows, and provide technical leadership to the engineering team in a fast-paced, camera-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production-ready CV systems.
• Proficient in Python and PyTorch.
• Hands-on with detection/tracking (YOLO/ByteTrack/DeepSORT).
• Experience with video pipelines (RTSP/IP cameras, ffmpeg).
• Experience building datasets and annotation workflows.
• Experience fine-tuning open-source models and annotation-review loops.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-ready computer vision systems
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
• Hands-on experience with modern detection and tracking (YOLO family, ByteTrack/DeepSORT)
• Experience with video pipelines (RTSP/IP cameras, ffmpeg)
• Experience building datasets and running annotation operations
• Experience fine-tuning open-source models and implementing annotation-review loops
• Ownership temperament and ability to work with vague operational goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OCR, action recognition, or pose estimation in production
• Background in sports, retail, or industrial camera analytics
• Experience with edge deployment (Jetson or similar)
• Literacy in camera and IoT hardware (PoE networking, ONVIF/RTSP, NVRs)

About the Company

Our client provides AI match analysis for youth football using fixed cameras to detect events, track players, and read jersey numbers. The platform is currently in a pilot academy in Dubai and is expanding into a second industry.
