FMCG Demand Planner: Forecasting & Inventory Optimizer

Job summary

Beiersdorf Group in Dubai seeks a seasoned Demand Planner to develop consensus forecasts for assigned brands, balancing service level, forecast accuracy, bias and inventory value. You will manage distributor relationships, drive inventory planning and waste management, and lead forecast cycles across the supply chain.

The role requires 5+ years in demand/supply planning in FMCG, advanced Excel, and solid communication for cross-functional alignment. Arabic is a plus; English fluency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor from an accredited university with a focus on Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• 5+ years of experience in demand/supply planning in an FMCG company or similar industry.
• High proficiency in MS Office applications with emphasis on advanced excel.
• Knowledge of SAP (R3 & APO) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly understand and grasp business processes.
• Team player and able to work autonomously.
• High sense of urgency and ability to timely root cause and resolve problems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting demand by analyzing sales data and market trends with distributors.
• Coordinating with Supply planners for on-time and in-full NPDs and Relaunches.
• Monitoring KPIs related to supply chain performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Data analysis and reporting: generating regular reports to track key metrics for stakeholders.
• Manage distributor inventory to maximize sales and improve utilization.
• Control demand and replenishment based on SKU classification.
• Monitor depletion plans for excess, blocked, and short shelf-life stocks.
• Align stakeholder plans to deplete short shelf life and excess stocks.
• Report on inventory (DIH) and forecast accuracy monthly.
• Monthly reporting on waste risks and depletion actions.
• Report NS & IMS forecast accuracy by SKU for M+3 & M+1.
• Track distributor stock coverage progression and YE landing.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to align supply chain with business goals.
• Communicate updates on supply chain status and resolve issues.
• Analyze demand issues and drive resolution across the supply chain.
• Lead and deliver forecast cycles for business planning.
• Support distributors to build forecasting capabilities and reduce forecast fluctuations.
