Job Purpose
The Fit-Out Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all technical and engineering aspects of interior fit‑out projects. This includes ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to design specifications, timely project completion, and compliance with safety and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, material submittals, and method statements.
- Coordinate with designers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all technical drawings and shop drawings are approved and implemented on site.
Site Management
- Supervise and manage all fit‑out activities on site (partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, MEP coordination, finishes, etc.).
- Monitor daily progress and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with design and safety standards.
- Manage site manpower, materials, and subcontractors efficiently.
Technical & Quality Assurance
- Resolve technical issues and discrepancies between design and site execution.
- Ensure proper installation methods and finishing quality per specifications.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team to maintain project documentation and quality records.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and handing over of completed works.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce compliance with safety procedures and site regulations.
- Ensure all site personnel use appropriate PPE and follow HSE practices.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Update project management team on key milestones, issues, and risks.
- Support project close‑out documentation and handover procedures.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in interior fit‑out or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and construction methods.
- Familiar with project management tools and CAD software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
