Job summary

VirtualWorks Hub in El-Fujairah seeks a First Class Sailor to oversee vessel operation and safety. You will work with the captain and crew to ensure smooth sailing, navigate, operate equipment, monitor weather, and communicate with port authorities.

The role requires a First Class Sailor certification, at least 2 years’ experience, fluent English, physical fitness, and knowledge of maritime laws. Accommodation is provided and visa sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a First Class Sailor certification and be eligible to work in the UAE.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Physically fit and able to work long hours at sea.
• Good knowledge of maritime laws and regulations.

• Navigate, operate equipment, monitor weather conditions and communicate with port authorities.
• Work closely with the captain and crew to ensure smooth sailing and regulatory compliance.

Job description

As a First Class Sailor in El-Fujairah you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operation and safety of our vessel You will work closely with the captain and other crew members to ensure smooth sailing and adherence to maritime regulations Your main duties will include navigating the vessel operating equipment monitoring weather conditions communicating with port authorities and performing routine maintenance tasks You must have a deep understanding of maritime laws and regulations as well as excellent communication skills The ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions is crucial in this role This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1100 per month We also provide accommodation and offer visa sponsorship for qualified candidates

Requirements

• First Class Sailor certification
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Fluent in English knowledge of other languages is a plus
• Physically fit and able to work long hours at sea
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of maritime laws and regulations
• Valid passport with no travel restrictions
