Job summary

SIBCA ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT COMPANY LIMITED in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a skilled pipes and firefighting systems technician. You will fabricate pipes and fittings as per approved drawings, install firefighting piping and equipment, and conduct pressure testing and commissioning support per project method statements.

You will assemble joints using welding, brazing, soldering, and cementing; operate gauges for hydrostatic testing; maintain tools and inventory; troubleshoot firefighting

Responsibilities

• Carry out Fabrication of pipes and fittings as per the approved shop drawings and method statement
• Use the required tools and machinery for pipe fabrication such as threading machines grooving machines drilling machines pipe cutters hole saw cutters and hand tools
• Carry out installation of Firefighting piping and equipment as per approved shop drawings and method statement
• Conduct pressure testing of the installed piping network by the approved method statement
• Support the commissioning team in the charging and activation of firefighting systems
• Check and maintain the water level in tanks
• Identify faults and troubleshoot firefighting equipment and systems
• Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order and keep an accurate inventory of them
• Assemble and secure pipes tubes and fittings using welding brazing soldering and cementing of joints
• Utilize pressure gauges and hydrostatic testing to inspect and test installed pipe systems
• Electroplate non-ferrous piping materials with tin and lead to obtain an alloy that prevents erosion
• Operate pump machines to discard water from flooded facility floors manholes and basements
• Install and configure automatic pipe control systems
• Install all materials associated with firefighting - sprinkler systems, wet riser, fire pumps, fire extinguishers, Clean Agent, Foam, water mist, water spray, and fire hydrant systems.
