Job description

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Finance Director to join a highly established and growing luxury group based in Dubai.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for overseeing the Group’s financial strategy, financial operations, reporting, controls and commercial performance across multiple business entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Group’s overall finance function and financial strategy.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and senior management team.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis.
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance and compliance across the Group.
• Oversee management accounts, statutory reporting, audits and tax matters.
• Monitor business performance and provide meaningful commercial and financial insights to senior management.
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to improve profitability, cost control and financial performance.
• Oversee project and development-related financial reporting, including budgets, costs, margins and cash flow.
• Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Lead and develop the finance team, establishing strong processes and best practices.
• Work closely with external auditors, banks, advisors and other financial stakeholders.
• Support senior management with business planning, investment decisions and strategic growth initiatives.
• Ensure the Group remains compliant with relevant UAE regulations, accounting standards and internal policies.

Ideal Candidate

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant experience at Finance Director or equivalent senior level.
• Strong background within real estate, property development, construction, design & build or another project-led environment.
• Experience managing finance across multiple entities or business divisions.
• Strong understanding of project financials, cost control, cash flow and profitability.
• Proven experience working closely with CEOs, shareholders and senior leadership.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to go beyond traditional financial reporting.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent would be highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
