Job summary

Union Properties PJSC is seeking an experienced Finance Director with a strong construction/contracting background to lead the finance function and drive strategic financial performance.

The role reports to the executive leadership and requires deep expertise in IFRS, UAE regulations, and real estate finance. You will guide governance, capital allocation and stakeholder engagement at the group level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) mandatory.
• Senior-level experience as Finance Director or Group CFO.
• Proven track record in real estate development/investment.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, UAE corporate law and PJSC regulations.
• Strategic financial planning, risk management and capital allocation.
• Strong leadership and communication with board/executives.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead our finance department, mainly from a construction/contracting background. Reporting to the executive leadership, the Finance Director will be responsible for the overall financial health, strategy and management of Union Properties PJSC and its group of subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in the real estate sector, capable of driving financial performance, ensuring robust governance and providing critical insights to support the company’s long‑term growth and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to the entire finance and accounting function, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, aligning it with the overall business goals and long‑range plans.
• Oversee all financial operations, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and treasury management.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Manage capital structure, debt financing and cash flow to optimise the company’s financial position and support project development.
• Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, providing rigorous analysis and challenge to ensure financial targets are met.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on all financial matters, including investment analysis, risk management and strategic initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, investors and regulatory bodies.
• Analyse financial performance and market trends to provide strategic recommendations for enhancing profitability and shareholder value.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification is mandatory (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• Extensive senior‑level experience in a financial leadership role, preferably as a Finance Director or Group CFO.
• Proven track record within the real estate development, investment or property management industry is essential.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, UAE corporate law and financial regulations applicable to a Public Joint Stock Company (PJSC).
• Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, risk management and capital allocation.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the board, senior management and external partners.
