Job summary

Swissquote seeks an Experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting and accounting operations for its Dubai offices and MEA unit. You will ensure timely, accurate information and support senior management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Responsibilities include month-end closes, IFRS compliance, VAT and corporate tax coordination, audits, cash management, budgeting, and team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• ACCA/CPA/ACA/CIMA preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Experience with UAE VAT and corporate tax.
• Strong Excel and ERP skills; SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics advantageous.

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reporting packs.
• Ensure IFRS, UAE tax requirements, and applicable accounting regulations.

• Develop and maintain robust financial controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisers.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.

• Analyze financial performance vs. budget and provide management recommendations.
• Identify financial and operational risks and implement controls.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely financial information while supporting senior management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting and finance operations.

• Strong Excel and ERP skills; experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems is advantageous.

• Previous experience managing a finance team is preferred.
