Job summary

Midis Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Financial Analyst responsible for tracking financial performance, building forecasts and supporting senior management with reports and strategic decisions.

You will consolidate financial statements, build models, perform variance analyses, and contribute to cost optimization while staying updated on regulatory changes such as VAT and corporate tax in the UAE.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with financial forecasting and modeling is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE tax/reporting requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze financial statements, forecast future revenues and expenditures and create financial models for decision support
• Support the management team in developing financial plans and determine the best use of resources to achieve business objectives/business cases
• Identify trends, keep track of business and financial performance and provide recommendations for optimization based on set financial plans
• Perform variance studies and comparative performance and develop forecast models accordingly
• Generate periodic reports and work closely with the accounting/finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Develop, update and drive process and policy improvements optimizing workflows and improving financial growth
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
• Understand the various departments and divisions and provide ideas to grow and improve the business
• Consult with the management team to guide strategic decision making and provide support to projects as and when needed
• Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new financial regulations or policies

Financial Analyst is accountable for tracking the company’s financial performance, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts and support senior management in tactical and strategic decisions through periodic reports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze financial statements, forecast future revenues and expenditures and create financial models for decision support

• VAT reporting - working, calculation and filing
• ICV certifications
• AP approvals
• Income/corporate tax (local file and transfer pricing)
