Role Context

The Finance Quality Assurance Lead will oversee the reliability of financial content used to train and evaluate advanced artificial intelligence systems. Assignments may involve reviewing financial calculations, accounting explanations, market analysis, valuation models, risk assessments, investment reasoning, business cases, and finance-related model responses. The successful candidate will detect calculation errors, incorrect terminology, unsupported assumptions, weak analytical reasoning, misleading comparisons, inappropriate certainty, and incomplete risk disclosures. The role also includes contributor guidance, onboarding, documentation, calibration, and continuous improvement of finance-focused quality workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Review finance AI training items against detailed project rubrics and documented quality standards.
• Evaluate financial accuracy, analytical reasoning, terminology, calculation methods, clarity, formatting, and instruction compliance.
• Check financial formulas, assumptions, ratios, forecasts, projections, and numerical conclusions.
• Assess content involving corporate finance, financial statements, valuation, investments, markets, accounting, and risk.
• Review income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and related financial interpretations.
• Identify calculation errors, inconsistent figures, missing assumptions, and unsupported conclusions.
• Evaluate financial models for logical structure, methodological consistency, and appropriate use of inputs.
• Review market commentary for factual accuracy, balanced reasoning, and suitable risk awareness.
• Flag misleading investment claims, overconfident forecasts, weak causal reasoning, and inappropriate financial advice.
• Assess whether AI-generated content distinguishes general educational information from personalized financial guidance.
• Review terminology involving returns, margins, liquidity, leverage, valuation, volatility, and capital structure.
• Verify that comparisons use consistent periods, currencies, units, and accounting definitions.
• Spot-check submissions completed by trainers, analysts, annotators, reviewers, and QA contributors.
• Provide precise written feedback explaining each issue and the required correction.
• Escalate recurring, critical, compliance-sensitive, or financially misleading quality concerns.
• Communicate guideline updates, project changes, and finance-specific review standards through Discord and other collaboration tools.
• Answer contributor questions involving calculations, accounting treatment, valuation, markets, risk, and rubric interpretation.
• Contact inactive trainers and QAs, encourage participation, document follow-ups, and flag availability concerns.
• Create and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, quality notes, examples, honeypots, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
• Conduct remote onboarding and training sessions for finance trainers, reviewers, and QAs.
• Ensure contributors apply updated finance quality requirements consistently.
• Analyze recurring error patterns and recommend practical improvements to review workflows.
• Maintain accurate records of quality findings, contributor performance, feedback, and corrective actions.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's, Master 's, MBA, CFA-related, accounting, economics, finance, or closely related professional background.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, financial analysis, accounting, investment research, valuation, risk management, corporate finance, or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills for interpreting project guidelines and delivering clear written feedback.
• Thorough understanding of financial statements, ratios, valuation concepts, forecasting, and analytical methods.
• Strong numerical reasoning and the ability to review calculations, assumptions, and conclusions accurately.
• Familiarity with capital markets, investment analysis, corporate finance, accounting standards, or risk frameworks is preferred.
• Ability to identify unsupported financial claims, flawed models, misleading comparisons, and inappropriate certainty.
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial reports, models, research notes, business cases, dashboards, or analytical documents.
• Strong awareness of financial risk, disclosure, compliance sensitivity, and responsible communication.
• Experience leading or supporting analysts, researchers, trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QA teams is strongly preferred.
• Ability to apply detailed rubrics consistently across high-volume finance content.
• Confidence using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
• Experience creating style guides, calibration tasks, onboarding materials, FAQs, and quality documentation is beneficial.
