The role requires hands-on IFRS knowledge, UAE tax expertise, and the ability to manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, inventory costing, and multi-entity reporting, with leadership and strong communication to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Job Purpose

The Finance Manager will oversee the full finance and accounting function for a UAE based trading business with operations in chemicals, industrial materials, FMCG, and import/export trading. The role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong IFRS knowledge, UAE tax expertise, and the ability to manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, inventory costing, and multi entity reporting. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong review capability, analytical skills, leadership, and communication, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial control across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare IFRS compliant financial statements.
• Manage month end and year end closing, including GL review, reconciliations, provisions, and accruals.
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Review and validate accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and audit trails.
• Provide financial insights and variance analysis to support management decisions.

Trading Business Accounting (Mandatory Experience)

• Handle import purchases, landed cost, shipment costing, and LC/TT processes.
• Manage inventory costing, valuation, and stock reconciliation.
• Oversee supplier documentation and cost allocation for trading operations.
• Manage high volume transactions typical of chemical and industrial trading.
• Ensure accurate landed cost sheets and cost allocation across shipments.

Taxation & Compliance

• UAE VAT filing, reconciliation, and compliance.
• UAE Corporate Tax calculation, documentation, and return preparation.
• Transfer Pricing documentation and related party compliance.
• Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations and statutory requirements.

Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Manage liquidity planning and working capital optimization.
• Handle banking relationships, credit facilities, LC/TT transactions, and negotiations.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and credit exposure.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re forecasting.
• Analyse variances, trends, and business performance.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Challenge assumptions and ensure realistic financial planning.

Audit & Governance

• Lead external audits and ensure timely closure.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with auditors.
• Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.

ERP & Systems

• Support Odoo ERP implementation and system improvements.
• Participate in process mapping, data migration, and system validation.
• Oracle ERP experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Must have hands on experience with ERP systems used in previous roles.

Multi Entity Operations

• Manage financial processes across multiple companies.
• Standardize procedures, reporting formats, and internal controls.
• Experience in consolidation and intercompany eliminations is mandatory.
• Ensure consistency in accounting practices and documentation.
