Job summary

Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government in Dubai seeks a finance professional to lead budgeting, planning, and management of the approved budget across departments. You will monitor expenditures, payroll, ledgers, and treasury while producing regular reports for senior management.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 5+ years’ accounting/finance experience, with strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, and month-end close processes. UAE nationality is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited university.
• 5+ years’ combined accounting and finance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles & procedures; month-end close.
• Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.

Responsibilities

• Financial planning and management of the approved budget (operational and capital).
• Monitor budget and expenditure; submit regular financial reports to senior management.
• Disseminate and coordinate the approved budget to School Departments for projections.
• Manage payrolls, debits/credits, cash flow, and the general ledger.
• Review and approve invoices and organize supplier payments.
• Conduct financial analysis and ensure estimates align with provisions and policies.
• Coordinate with external bodies and auditors; monitor grants and donations.
