Job summary

Mackenzie Jones is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for their Dubai-based media and publishing division. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, reporting, and financial control to drive strategic growth.

Candidates should have a strong background in finance with at least 8+ years’ experience, a professional accounting qualification or MBA, and fluent English. UAE location is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual business planning and budgeting with the Business Unit Head.
• Consolidate, review and analyze monthly MIS and budget performance.
• Prepare feasibility studies for growth, capex, marketing and operations.
• Conduct commercial/financial review of contracts, procurement and marketing.
• Enhance reporting to monitor key drivers and report to senior management.
• Ensure budgetary control and policy compliance across the business.
• Develop a robust internal control framework and governance processes.
• Oversee financial reporting and treasury responsibilities.
• Manage revenue and cost accounting under IFRS.
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits and implement recommendations.

Job description

Our client is a Dubai based family group with a diverse portfolio across multiple sectors. They are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to work in their publishing and media division.

The role will be responsible for the following:

• Responsible for Annual Business Planning and Budgeting in close coordination with Business Unit Head.
• Consolidation, review and analysis of Monthly MIS reports and periodic Budget reviews.
• Preparation of Feasibility studies for new growth opportunities, capital expenditure, marketing promotions and operational investments.
• Commercial and Financial review of all types of contracts and agreements especially relating to procurement, capital expenditure and marketing.
• Improve reporting capabilities to monitor key business drivers on a regular basis and share the analysis with senior management for appropriate action.
• Ensure Budgetary control and compliance with policies and procedures. Put in place a monitoring mechanism to ensure implementation of Financial/Operational Policies and Procedures.
• Develop a compliance framework and a robust team to strengthen internal controls across the business.
• Handle Business Processes Reengineering projects to improve productivity.
• Financial Reporting and Treasury
• Provide comprehensive financial accounting, reporting and analysis support to the entire business.
• Responsible for Revenue Accounting and Cost Accounting in compliance with IFRS.
• Handle Statutory, Internal and other types of periodic audits and implement the Audit recommendations in an efficient and timely manner.
