About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. The role involves financial planning, reporting, compliance, and driving process improvements to support strategic decision-making. The Finance Manager will serve as a key business partner to leadership, ensuring strong financial governance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.
- Conduct variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual) and provide actionable insights.
- Monitor financial performance including gross margins, profitability, cash flow, and burn rate.
Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Oversee general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany accounts, payables, receivables, and payroll.
- Ensure timely submission of management reports and board packs.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Handle taxation matters including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, and regulatory filings.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Develop cash flow forecasts and manage liquidity.
- Optimize working capital, credit control, and treasury operations.
- Oversee banking relationships, payments, and FX exposures (if applicable).
Internal Controls & Process Improvements
- Implement and monitor financial controls, policies, and SOPs.
- Drive automation and digitalization of finance processes (ERP/QuickBooks/other systems).
- Support risk management, cost optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Manage, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Act as a financial advisor to senior management and other departments.
- Partner with business leaders on investment decisions, contracts, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s/Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA, CFA, CPA preferred).
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
