Bybit is seeking a hands-on Senior Finance Specialist to join our team and report to the Finance Manager. You will help keep finance operations accurate, timely and controlled, focusing on close, payments, staff expenses, tax compliance and audit support.

You will work with colleagues across the business and external advisers, driving recurring processes and contributing to regulatory reporting as the team expands. The role suits someone who enjoys detail work and taking ownership.

Formación

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including hands‑on involvement in financial close and reconciliations.
• Experience with payment processing, staff expense claims and approval workflows.
• Practical exposure to VAT, corporate tax compliance or preparation of tax return supporting schedules.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience using an accounting or ERP system.
• Professional working proficiency in English, with effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to resolving issues and knowing when to escalate.

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Finance Specialist to join our team and report directly to the Finance Manager. You will help keep our finance operations accurate, timely and well controlled, with a focus on financial close, payments, staff expense claims, tax compliance and audit support.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working through the details, resolving discrepancies and taking ownership of recurring finance processes. You will work with colleagues across the business and external advisers, while also supporting selected financial and regulatory reporting activities as the team grows.

What you’ll do

Financial close and accounting

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, account reconciliations and balance-sheet schedules.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment activity, vendor balances and other assigned accounts; investigate differences and follow through to resolution.
• Analyse account movements and unusual transactions, prepare supporting explanations, and escalat[e] matters requiring accounting judgment.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and complete close tasks in line with agreed timelines and review procedures.
• Perform trade and wallet reconciliations as part of the month-end close, comparing trade-level raw data from the Big Data platform with records in NetSuite (NS), reconciling wallet activity and balances, and investigating and resolving any discrepancies with relevant teams.

Payments and staff claims

• Review payment requests, invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and coordinate payments through established approval workflows, maintaining appropriate controls and segregation of duties.
• Track payment status, resolve rejected or delayed payments, and respond to queries from internal teams and external parties.
• Review and process staff expense claims, including checking receipts, policy compliance, approvals and correct accounting treatment.
• Reconcile payments and expense reimbursements to bank statements and accounting records, and follow up on outstanding items.

Tax, regulatory reporting and audit support

• Prepare VAT reconciliations, return schedules and supporting documentation, working with the Finance Manager and external tax advisers as needed.
• Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns, including gathering financial data, preparing supporting schedules, reconciling tax-related balances and responding to adviser queries.
• Flag uncertain or unusual tax treatments for review and help track applicable filing deadlines.
• Assist with selected financial and regulatory reporting activities, including data gathering, reconciliations, completeness checks and preparation of supporting schedules. The Finance Manager will review reporting outputs and matters requiring judgment before submission.
• Support statutory audits and other internal or external reviews by preparing schedules, gathering evidence, responding to information requests and tracking outstanding items.
• Maintain organised documentation and clear audit trails across accounting, payments, tax and reporting activities.

Process improvement and collaboration

• Partner with Finance, Operations and other teams to resolve accounting, invoice, payment and expense‑claim issues.
• Identify recurring issues or manual steps and suggest practical improvements to workflows, controls and documentation.
• Support finance process or system changes, including testing and documenting their impact on day-to-day operations.

Nice to have

• Experience in crypto, digital assets, fintech or financial services, particularly in an international or fast‑growing business.
• Experience assisting with regulatory reporting or maintaining supporting evidence for regulatory submissions.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax advisers.
• Exposure to multi‑entity accounting, cross‑border payments or finance process automation.
• Progress towards an accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or an equivalent.
• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin.
