Job summary

NSR Associates is seeking a hands-on Accountant to own the full finance and accounting function for a Dubai-based design and build interior fit-out contracting company. The role reports to the Managing Director and requires experience in UAE construction/project accounting, including job costing, WIP, variations, and project profitability.

Key responsibilities include monthly management reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience managing a full accounting function with budgeting and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of day-to-day accounting and finance function.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow.
• Provide regular financial updates to the Managing Director.
• Monitor project budgets, revenue, costs, margins and profitability.
• Oversee VAT and corporate tax compliance and controls.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and professional advisers.
