Job summary

CD Horizon is seeking a Finance & Tax Intern in the UAE to gain hands-on experience in VAT invoicing, tax compliance, and accounting operations. You will work with the finance team to support daily activities, ensure regulatory adherence, and contribute to key financial processes.

The role requires a recent graduate or current student in Finance/Accounting/Taxation, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a closely related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles; familiarity with tax regulations is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the end-to-end process of VAT invoicing, including issuance, verification, and management to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support the preparation of materials and documentation for timely tax filings and other compliance-related tasks.
• Contribute to the preparation of basic financial reports and assist with data analysis to support decision-making.
• Provide crucial support during the annual audit and internal reviews by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.
• Perform a variety of other ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as assigned by the finance manager.

Internship Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Tax Intern to join our team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in core finance and taxation functions within a real-world business environment. You will work closely with our finance team to support daily operations, ensure compliance, and contribute to key financial processes. Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a closely related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and an interest in tax regulations; prior academic or practical exposure is a strong advantage.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP). Familiarity with any accounting software is a significant plus.
• Meticulous attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to commit to a full-time internship (5 days per week) for a minimum period of 3 months.
• Ideal candidate must have freelance / spouse / parent visa.
