Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking an Assistant Director of Accounting to join the Finance Team. The role oversees the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, prepares consolidated financial statements, manages the general ledger, and drives process improvements while coordinating with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A.

The ideal candidate holds ACCA/CPA/ACA or equivalent, with 10+ years of accounting and reporting experience, familiarity with IFRS, and advanced Excel skills; Big

• Qualified accounting professional with IFRS and internal reporting knowledge.
• Experience preparing financial statements, notes, and schedules.
• Big Four background is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with IFRS reporting.
• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements and cash flow statements.
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity with reconciliations and schedules.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and reduce manual journals.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team and coordinate with other departments.
