Job summary

Luxe Tribes is seeking a Finance Executive to join its growing finance function in Dubai. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of accounting experience and hands-on experience with QuickBooks, including implementation or migration involvement.

The role requires someone organised, analytical, and capable of working at pace across multiple entities and currencies to maintain accuracy and integrity of the financial records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in travel or tourism industry preferred but not mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks.
  • Experience participating in a QuickBooks implementation or migration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks
  • Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accounting records are complete and accurate
  • Process journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Perform timely reconciliation of all bank accounts including Mercury, Stripe, and PayPal
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Reconcile credit card, payment gateway, and online payment transactions
  • Ensure outstanding reconciling items are resolved promptly
  • Process supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules
  • Monitor customer receipts and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer account records
  • Maintain and update accounting records within QuickBooks
  • Support users with QuickBooks-related queries
  • Participate in system enhancements and process improvements
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity following the QuickBooks implementation
  • Prepare routine financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Prepare and present management reports to the Group Financial Controller
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
  • Maintain organised financial records for audit purposes
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and internal controls

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to join our growing finance function. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of accounting experience, preferably within the travel and tourism industry, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks including participation in its implementation or migration.

This role requires someone who is organised, analytical, and capable of working at pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy across multiple entities and currencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record daily financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks
  • Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accounting records are complete and accurate
  • Process journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Bank & Account Reconciliations

Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
  • Solid knowledge of Quickbooks system
  • Excellent bank reconciliation and General Ledger reconciliation experience
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
  • Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven and able to work independently while collaborating effectively across a remote team
  • Must hold a valid visa and have the legal right to work in the applicable jurisdiction
Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following will have an advantage:

  • Travel booking platforms or travel agency accounting
  • Multi-currency accounting across multiple entities
  • VAT compliance and reconciliations
  • Month-end close and audit support
  • Experience in a fast-growing SME or startup environment
