Job summary

Ziina is seeking a Finance Analyst to own reconciliations across our bank, GL, product ledger and gateways, and to build data foundations that power automation. This role shapes how money is tracked, trusted and reported at a UAE-regulated payments company.

You will automate weekly trackers, support ERP migration, and deliver an audit-ready month-end close. You’ll turn numbers into reliable systems and partner with Ops, Product and Engineering to scale the Finance function.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or a data-focused role.
• Proficient in SQL to answer Finance questions from scratch.
• Experience building or maintaining a Finance report, tracker or dashboard.

Responsibilities

• Own Ziina's full set of reconciliations across bank, GL, product ledger and gateways.
• Run the reconciliation engine day to day, investigate breaks to root cause with Ops, Product and Engineering.
• Automate remaining manual reconciliations and define exception logic for matches/flags/escalations.
• Partner with Accounting Manager to keep month-end close on track and ensure audit readiness.
• Build and own the Finance dashboard used by leadership for cash, burn, runway, and P&L; automate weekly burn tracker.
• Own data pipelines feeding payroll, Ops, bank and gateway data into the ERP; create shared definitions for revenue, TPV, rebates and chargebacks.
• Play a key role in ERP migration and rollout of new Finance tools; map chart of accounts and integrations.
• Document how Finance systems, integrations and data flows connect for team-wide understanding.

The Role

Ziina is looking for a Finance Analyst to own reconciliations across our business and build the data foundations that power Finance automation. This role is an exciting opportunity to shape how money is tracked, trusted and reported at a fast-growing, UAE-regulated payments company. That could mean tracing a variance across our ledger, gateways and banks until every dirham is accounted for, automating a weekly tracker that used to take hours, or building the dashboard leadership uses to make decisions on cash and runway. We're at a big moment in our growth, with a reconciliation engine already running, an ERP migration underway and a Finance team ready to automate more of how it works.

As a Finance Analyst at Ziina you will:

• Own Ziina's full set of reconciliations across our bank, GL, product ledger and gateways, delivering zero unexplained money variances at every month-end

• Run our reconciliation engine day to day, monitoring outputs, investigating every break to its root cause and partnering with Ops, Product and Engineering to see it through to resolution

• Automate the reconciliations that are still manual, and help define the exception logic that decides what's a match, a flag or an escalation

• Partner with our Accounting Manager to keep month-end close on track, with every reconciliation signed off, evidenced and audit-ready before the books close

• Build and own the Finance dashboard leadership relies on for cash, burn, runway and managerial P&L, and automate the weekly burn tracker so it runs itself

• Own the data pipelines feeding payroll, Ops, bank and gateway data into our ERP, and create shared definitions for revenue, TPV, rebates and chargebacks across every system

• Play a key role in our ERP migration and the rollout of new Finance tools, from mapping the chart of accounts and integrations to administering the tools once they're live

• Document how our Finance systems, integrations and data flows connect, so anyone on the team can understand and build on them

To succeed in this role, you likely:

• Have 1-3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or a data-focused role, ideally at a fintech, bank or payments business where transaction data flows through multiple systems

• Write solid SQL independently and use it to answer Finance questions from scratch

• Are investigative by nature, digging into the numbers, cross-checking sources and questioning outputs until you understand exactly what's happening

• Have built or maintained a Finance report, tracker or dashboard, and know what makes data trustworthy

• Spot inefficiency quickly and feel a real pull to automate it

• Write clearly and concisely, summarising findings so others can act on them straight away

• Build strong working relationships across teams, especially with Ops and Engineering

• Are based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE

What would amaze us

• Hands-on experience with payment flows, including gateways, settlements, wallets and chargebacks

• A track record of turning a manual Finance process into an automated, self-running one

• Experience partnering with Engineering or Product on a data or systems project

• Confidence with Metabase, Looker, Mode or a similar BI tool

• Experience with month-end close, ERP systems or an ERP migration
