Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider in Dubai is looking for a Finacle Core Banking - General Ledger Techno-functional Consultant. The candidate will implement and maintain the GL module settings and work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements. A bachelor's degree in IT and 5 years of experience with Finacle, including GL module expertise, is required. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this full-time role.

Qualifications

Job description

We are currently looking for Finacle Core Banking - General Ledger Techno functional Consultant for our UAE operations with the following Skill set and terms & conditions.

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 5 years of experience working with Finacle Core Banking with at least 3 years in the General Ledger module.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry accounting financial reporting and banking processes.
  • Experience in techno-functional roles capable of both functional analysis and basic technical tasks (queries, report development, scripting, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Finacle scripting APIs, COBOL (if applicable), SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with GL mapping, reconciliation tools and automated posting logic in Finacle.
  • Exposure to end-of-day (EOD)/end-of-month (EOM) processes and accounting schedules.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional:
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in Finacle Core Banking Finance stream.
  • Implement, configure and maintain GL module settings, Chart of Accounts, posting rules and automated entries.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, finalize deliverables and conduct gap analysis.
  • Participate in discovery sessions to understand existing business processes and recommend optimal configurations.
  • Conduct user training sessions using hands‑on methodology and develop relevant training materials.
  • Support SIT/UAT and assist users with business hand‑holding and process validation.
Technical:
  • Good understanding of Finacle Product Architecture & Customization layers.
  • Finacle customization flow understanding (New custom menu, Reports – MRT & Jasper, Batch job, Product menu customization, FI EOD‑BOD process and debugging).
  • Strong experience with Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions) related to Finacle application.
  • Experience in Finacle scripting, Unix shell scripting and Report designing.
  • Good understanding of Finacle Integrator and feasible enhancements will be added advantage.
