Job summary

A global oil and gas solutions company is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join their team in the UAE. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant field experience. Responsibilities include preparing reports, coordinating field activities, and executing safe and efficient field work in line with company standards. Competitive candidates must be solution-oriented, fluent in English, and capable of extensive travel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of working as a Field Technician or relevant experience in the EPC field.
  • Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.
  • Ability to travel extensively including international trips.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit various reports related to pigging and field activities.
  • Coordinate field activities between PipeCare team, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Execute field work in accordance with PipeCare QA/QC procedures.

PIPECARE EUROPE is currently looking for Field Technician to join our Team.

By providing technology and service focused solutions to the international arena of the oil and gas industry, the PipeCare Group of companies has been helping our customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years. Due to our global focus and international growth, PipeCare is seeking experienced Field Technician to support our continued growth in Europe.

Important note: we consider only candidates based in Europe or Switzerland.

Industry/sector: Oil & Gas / In Line Inspection services

Min years of experience: minimum last 3 years working as Field Technician or relevant experience in EPC field

Other requirements: solution – oriented attitude; hands on approach; disciplined; team player; self-motivated

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports
  • Discuss equipment and tools requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, tool box and all other required tools for use in the field, etc.
  • Study and analyze project information document, operation manuals, pigging procedures and other project-related documents
  • Establish professional contact with client’s field personnel creating friendly working relations
  • Execute field work in a safe, effective and efficient manner in accordance with PipeCare QA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource and financial planning
  • Coordinate field activities between PipeCare team, subcontractor, client and other involved parties
  • Perform ILI runs successfully without data loss as per POF & API standards
  • Conduct sufficient cleaning runs to the established PipeCare cleaning criteria
  • Conduct site survey and DGPs Survey in line with PipeCare procedures and operational requirement
  • Execute all other tasks as requested by Team Leader within the assigned job role.
Qualified Candidates
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant) plus 3 years of operation planning experience
  • Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, excel and outlook at an intermediate level
  • Fluency in English language is a must

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
