Job summary

FieldCore in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Steam Gas Mechanic to safely install, maintain and repair heavy rotating machinery used in power generation. You will work with Supervisors, EHS personnel and Operations to ensure reliability and safety across equipment, with duties including shipping/receiving, inventory control and material preparation.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience with pumps, motors, generators and turbines, a valid driver's license and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining, dismantling and installing machinery and industrial service equipment.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical documentation.
• English proficiency required for communication and safety.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, assemble, move and align machinery and equipment using hoists, cranes and tools.
• Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical docs to determine work procedures.
• Responsible for shipping/receiving major pieces and control of tools and supplies.
• Perform material and machine inspections with precision measuring equipment.
• Perform machining and welding for parts for lab and shop training equipment.
• Load, transport and unload materials and perform maintenance as needed.
• Install machinery according to layouts and drawings in industrial sites.
• Prepare material/tool requests and delivery order letters from the plant.
• Maintain inventories and PPE, and notify engineer when materials are ready.
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required; travel may be needed.
