Job summary

Nabors Industries is seeking a skilled TRS Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical and control systems for catwalks and bucking units used in tubular handling and make-up operations. The role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient operation of power distribution systems, PLCs, HMIs, and automation in field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Diploma in Engineering.
• Must possess and maintain certifications and licenses as required by authorities.
• Must have mathematical skills required for certification as an Electrician.
• Must be able to obtain offshore or onshore certifications.
• Should have at least 6 years of work experience maintaining electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on catwalks and bucking units to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in PLC systems, including input/output modules, communication networks, and control logic.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HMI systems, including resolving system freezes, restarts, and communication failures.
• Diagnose and repair VFDs used in motors controlling conveyors, rollers, and bucking unit rotation systems.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Carry out cable termination, wiring, and panel modifications as required during maintenance or upgrades.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment.
